The Top Summer 2023 Nail Art Trends
June 21, 2023
After what felt like the longest winter and spring, summer weather has finally made its debut. As we begin to swap sweaters for sandals, we’ll also see an influx in summer nail trends with plenty of new polish shades to pick from. Whether you’re looking for a subtle finish or a pop of color, we’re detailing some of the top nail art trends we expect to see this summer.
Nail Art Trends for Summer 2023
Milky French Manicure
Milky nail trends continue to make rounds this season as an answer to your traditional summer white mani. The look can vary in tone, but usually includes a milky white nail polish tone and an ultra glossy top coat for shine. The traditional milky nail is a single wash of color, while it’s latest spin-off the Milky French Manicure includes a faint French tip.
Lip Gloss Nails
These are the upgrade to nude nails we didn’t even know we needed! As one of the “My Nails But Better” nail art trends, Lip Gloss Nails utilize colors and finishes that highlight your natural nail bed with a touch of gloss! They are clean, minimal and can use any range of shades from pinky blush to nude and natural to make your nails appear like they’ve just applied lip gloss — shiny, plump and sheer.
Clear Chrome Nails
Clear nails are having their moment in the sun and the latest rendition with a chrome finish give them something extra special for summer. The look can be achieved on any length nail, natural or not. The idea is to apply a chrome powder over a clear base to get a translucent chrome finish.
Strawberry Glazed Donut Nails
Ever since the classic Glazed Donut Nail trend made its debut, we’ve seen plenty of variations. As we head into strawberry season it only seems natural that we’d have a Strawberry Glazed Donut version. This look has a blushing quality to it that offers a translucent base with a sheer strawberry finish.
Lip Liner Nails
Lip lined nails have taken on many variations through the years, but the latest version for summer 2023 is all about a minimal finish. The look can be created with any number of colors and combinations and features a very fine French tip. We’ve seen the look created with a pop of color, similar color families or one of our favorites, with glitter!
